On this site you can also learn about ionized water
and water ionizers. Water ionizers are a Japanese technology that
has been developed in the last 50 years.
Why should you consider a Japanese technology? If you live in the U.S., you should know that
America's health system is lagging behind other industrialized nations. In the recent news account,
ABC News reported on a study that found the U.S. ranks last among industrialized nations
in preventable deaths.

Health
This site is more than just about water. It is also about your health. Your
body is over 70 percent water. Did you ever consider how the quality of the water
you drink impacts your health?
- Have you heard the acronym ORP, and do you know why it is important for
good healthy water?
Answers. ORP stands for Oxidation-Reduction Potential.
In practical terms, it is a measure of
oxidation of contaminants.
If the ORP test result is a positive number, it means the
water is rusty, spoiled, decomposing, and aging. If the ORP test result is a negative
number, it means the water is free of rust, fresh, and anti-aging.
Almost all tap and bottled waters have positive ORPs.
Positive ORPs have been linked to poor health. The higher the ORP number, the more
unhealthy the body. Ionized water, like the water found in the
Hunza Valley where the inhabitants
have lived to be 100 to 120 years, have negative ORP numbers.

Do you know how the pH of water can affect your health? Or how acidic water can lead to acidosis and poor health?
Answers. pH is a measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. Water with a pH of 7 is
considered neutral. Water with a lower pH is acidic, and the water with a higher pH is
alkaline.
Excess acidity, or acidosis, is condition that weakens the body and leads to problems
with major organs. It is a cause of weight gain and diabetes. It accelerates free radical
damage and premature aging. It slows the delivery of oxygen into the cell.
Avoiding acidic beverages—including acidic tap and bottled waters—and drinking
alkaline water leads to a healthier body.
Medical Conditions
Excess acids contribute to a variety of medical conditions, including:

Maintaining a pH balance allows normal body function necessary to resist disease. Although we
will maintain sufficient alkaline reserves if we have a healthy body, our society is faced with too
many excess acids. When excess acids must be contiually neutralized, our alkaline reserves are
depleted, leaving the body in a weakened, disease-prone state.
Weight Loss
This site also presents new ideas on weight loss. Excess weight is the result of too much
acid in the diet. The sheer volume of acid waste our body has to handle has become overwhelming.
When our bodies are faced with a shortage of options due to excess acidity,
they dump toxic wastes in fatty deposits as far away from the organs and heart as
possible. On the buttocks, the chest, the thighs, and the belly.
To lose weight, what matters most is keeping your body alkaline. Weight loss and the
regaining of energy occur more easily when we take the first steps toward the alkaline
"re-balance."
Getting to and keeping your ideal weight requires eating plenty of high-quality,
healthful foods and focusing your choices around
green vegetables.
However, the biggest secret of all is actually in what you drink.
Keeping you body sufficiently hydrated with the right water—an alkaline water—makes
all the difference.
